Smithwick's

Smithwick's Brewery was founded by John Smithwick in 1710 in Kilkenny on the site of a Franciscan abbey, where monks had brewed ale since the 14th century. Smithwicks was purchased by Guinness in 1965, moving production of the brand to Dublin.
